Manama, July 29: The Bahrain Technical Society highlighted its next move of organizing the first edition of the SmartSec Conference for Information Security in Bahrain. In cooperation with WorkSmart for organizing exhibitions and conferences, it will be held, on September 4 and 5 under the patronage of the Minister of Electricity and Water Affairs, Dr. Abdulhussein Mirza.
Discussions will be featured on topics like information security, cyber security, and ways to settle the latest global applications in the field of ICT security. In line with the accelerated trend of public and private sector institutions in Bahrain, the main idea is to use new technologies such as cloud computing, identify challenges to enterprise data protection plans, and defend them against hacking or tampering attempts.
The conference will be attended by various specialized speakers in information security from Bahrain, the region and the world. Also, numerous workshops discussing technical topics related to this field, will be the highlight of the conference.
Information Security is an integral part of the society in the comprehensive sense. The vent also will discuss on information security which includes economic and social security. Also, bridging all technical gaps that may allow intruders to exploit the data and information of institutions on the Internet in the process of piracy, extortion and harm, would be touched upon.
